About Me

I am a professional psychotherapeutic counsellor passionately committed to working with client experiences of emotional and relational distress including symptoms of depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. I offer a warm, authentic and non-judgemental approach. I use an informed awareness of a number of therapeutic techniques which I integrate into the work in order to meet your individual needs effectively.
I use a staged approach aimed at helping you to find ways of reducing the intensity of difficult symptoms and to help you frame and understand your emotional responses more effectively. Often once we begin to give our feelings a language we can recognise better our inner needs and develop a deeper sense of self-awareness.
Therapeutic counselling should be a steady and gentle process. It requires time and commitment. It is about creating a safe and stable environment from which sustainable change occurs over time. I deeply value the clients I work with and the therapeutic work that develops between us. I welcome you and your individual story.
